KEN Harrison puts forward the view that British people have never been keen to "fly the flag" because of various reasons, ranging from having the Royal Family to expressing our national pride or flag waving to show support for certain sports (showing who we have a preference for).

Can I be bold and suggest that it's very difficult to fly our flags, even if we want to for whatever reason, because, having bought my flagpole and expensive flag, after approximately three weeks I awoke to find it in pieces - five days before Christmas - and the flag stolen.
