THE decision to ban a drug which has been linked to the deaths of two North Lincolnshire teenagers has been welcomed by a family friend.

Home Secretary Alan Johnson yesterday announced plans to make mephedrone a Class B substance 'within weeks'. It comes two weeks after the deaths of Louis Wainwright, 18, and Nick Smith, 19, who are believed to have taken the drug, also known as M-CAT, on a night out.
