River Ancholme: THE start of October is the start of fishing seriously on the River Ancholme as the water temperature begins to drop and the weed should be starting to die back. This means the loss of shelter for water creatures and fish have to start looking for food over a wider area. Pike in particular have to be on the lookout for food fish as they start to fatten up for the winter.
KEADBY CANAL: The fish are moving into their winter quarters, which include the places where anglers have been putting in their ground-baits. The Basin is a favourite place for winter fishing for both pleasure and match anglers.See the full content of this document
