ROMAN Polanski vowed to fight US attempts to extradite him from a Swiss jail cell to be sentenced for having sex with an underage girl 32 years ago.

The 76-year-old has told Swiss officials he will contest a US request that he be transferred to the United States, his French lawyer Herve Temime said.
