I AM sickened by Cllr Mark Kirk's letter (Sept 30) entitled 'Safety zone plan's not hit the skids' in which he attempts to rewrite history.
For readers' information, it is quite clear in the minutes of the Full Council meeting on November 14, 2007 that we, the Conservative Group, proposed a motion stating 'this council confirms that the safety of all our children when travelling to and from school, either on their own or when accompanied by parents/ guardians, is of the highest priority and therefore will implement 20mph school safety zones alongside all of the schools in North Lincolnshire where practical to do so'.See the full content of this document
