ALMOST 300 people pulled on their trainers to run Scunthorpe's Sport Relief Mile - as it emerged celebrity marathon men have sparked a new passion for running.

Local organiser Julian Moorhouse said he was stunned by the amount of runners, from novices to more seasoned athletes, who raced in either a one-mile, three-mile or six-mile event.
