In Response to Laurence Baker's letter (February 13), Charles Darwin, 'an atheist ... wanted a place in the nation's hall of fame of Westminster Abbey which was very typical of the scientific elite'.

May I indicate Darwin formed his theories in 1838 at the age of 30 and I suggest, at the prime of life, it would seem ridiculously remote indeed Darwin had an eye on a resting place at Westminster Abbey.
