I Am very pleased to be able to inform Telegraph readers the frontage of the Baths Hall will not be touched as part of the development of a new entertainment centre.

The Labour group was elected to lead North Lincolnshire Council based on a manifesto that would provide a new venue for the area. Having looked at the condition the Baths Hall is currently in, and based on the wants and needs of local people, a lick of paint and some new wallpaper is not the answer. If we are to attract top quality acts we need a venue which is fit for purpose - we cannot, and should not, live in the shadow of other towns and cities.
