When you list the nation's favourite sports, canoeing will rarely feature at the top, or even break into the leading five. But, just to buck the trend, Scunthorpe Canoe Club is going from strength to strength in their bid to boost numbers.
Scunthorpe Judo Club is beginning to find its feet again after having to rebuild when disaster struck five years ago. A batch of the club's promising young judo stars have brought back a clutch of medals from the Goole Invitational competition.

Scunthorpe United have confirmed details for their Johnstone's Paint Trophy northern section final against Rotherham. The first leg will take place at Glanford Park on Tuesday, January 20 with a 7.30pm kick-off, while the second leg is on Tuesday, February 17 with a 7.45pm kick-off at the Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield.
